Our Partner and CTO, Mark Atli, recently joined Brian Gardner for WP Engine’s Agency Partner Spotlight to talk through something every team is wrestling with right now: how to move AI out of the demo phase and into real, day-to-day value.

What the session covers

“Use AI” is too broad to act on. An intelligence layer is not. That is the through line of the conversation, and Mark walks through what it actually takes to get there.

The talk is built around three parts:

The problem: Context is scattered. Decisions live in Slack, approvals in email, behavior in analytics, standards in Figma, and judgment in people’s heads. Any AI workflow built on a single tool is reasoning over a fragment and guessing at the rest.

The intelligence layer: A knowledge vault in the middle, fed by signal sources that run on a cadence, with AI agents and workflows on top. The vault gets richer every day, and that is what lets agents stop guessing and start being useful.

How we use it in practice: Mark shares real examples from how we work at Dreamers of Day, including the internal triage application we use to move more than a hundred AI-generated tasks through human review each day.
