We are excited to announce that Gerald Klassen has officially joined Dreamers of Day as our Data and Intelligence Director.

Gerald has spent his career building the systems that turn scattered business data into something organizations can actually use. His expertise spans data architecture, governance, and AI, with the kind of clarity that turns complex work into clear direction for the teams and clients he works with.

Leading the data and intelligence practice

Most agencies treat data as a reporting layer. Dashboards, charts, a tab on the website. We see it differently. Data is the foundation on which everything else sits on, including any future AI capability. If the foundation is fragmented or unreliable, the work above it cannot be trusted.

Gerald’s role is to lead the data and intelligence practice that gets that foundation right for our clients. That means gathering, structuring the data, defining how it is governed, and making sure it can power the agents and intelligence systems we deploy on top of it.

The Intelligence Layer

This is not a hypothetical practice. We have already built and deployed our Intelligence Layer, the architecture pattern for connecting business data to AI-ready systems. It runs across our own digital properties, continuously monitoring uptime, performance, accessibility, and technical debt, surfacing risks before they become outages or compliance issues. That same operational vigilance is the foundation of our security, privacy, and compliance practice. Running it on ourselves first is not a marketing choice. It is how we make sure the architecture performs at real operational scale before we ask clients to trust it on theirs.

Gerald will lead the practice that takes that capability further, deepening the data work underneath it and shaping how it gets delivered to clients.

What’s next

You will see Gerald show up in our work in a few clear ways: in client engagements where data is the bottleneck to launching AI capability, in our governance and assessment offerings, and in thought leadership about what real data infrastructure looks like for organizations that have outgrown spreadsheets and dashboards.

We are glad he is here. The work gets sharper from here.

Welcome, Gerald.
