Susan Goodvin Named in DBJ's 2026 Women in Business

We have some exciting news to share! Our Co-Founder and COO, Susan Goodvin, has been named in the Dallas Business Journal’s 2026 Women in Business awards, one of 30 leaders the publication is honoring this year for helping shape the future of North Texas.
The award recognizes influential leaders across finance, technology, construction, and more. For Susan, it caps a strong run: it is her second straight year of recognition from the Dallas Business Journal, following her selection for the 2025 40 Under 40 class.
What the recognition reflects
Now in its 19th year, the Dallas Business Journal’s Women in Business awards celebrate women who are driving innovation, leading teams, and making a lasting impact across North Texas industries. Honorees are chosen through an independent editorial review, selected on their merits, achievements, and contributions to their organizations and their community.
The recognition goes to decision makers who go above and beyond in their work and who will keep shaping the region’s business landscape for years to come. By that measure, Susan’s decade of building Dreamers of Day, growing a team, and holding a high bar for its work fits squarely.
A leader who builds
Susan co-founded Dreamers of Day with our CTO, Mark Atli, in 2015. A decade later, the firm she helped start has grown to more than 25 team members and delivered hundreds of digital projects for clients in Healthcare, Arts & Culture, Travel, Government, Finance, and Real Estate.
Low ego, high trust, full ownership
Ask Susan about growth, and she will point to the culture before the numbers. “Low ego, high trust, full ownership” is the principle she returns to, and it is not a slogan on a wall. It shapes how the team hires, collaborates, and delivers. It influences how work is reviewed, how decisions are made, and how accountability is embraced across the organization. The result is a culture where people are empowered to do their best work, take ownership of outcomes, and grow together.
Women in Business, Earned Through Leadership
Susan’s selection for the Women in Business award reflects what the people who work with her already know. She builds carefully, leads with intention, and invests deeply in the success of those around her.
Throughout her career, Susan has focused on creating strong teams, meaningful client partnerships, and a culture where people are empowered to take ownership and do their best work. Her leadership has helped shape Dreamers of Day into a firm known not only for the quality of its work, but for the way it approaches every challenge.
Congratulations to Susan and the entire 2026 Women in Business class on this well-deserved honor.
